Bangladesh has reacted strongly after pacer Mustafizur Rahman was dropped from the IPL. Even uncertainty about participating in the World Cup to be held in India has been created.

Bangladesh says that the match should be moved to Sri Lanka. An application has also been made to the ICC in this regard.

If the ICC accepts BCB's request, the Tigers will be able to play in Sri Lanka. And if they do not accept it, what will BCB do? Former captain Tamim Iqbal has urged the board to take a thoughtful decision in such a situation.

He made this call at the trophy and jersey unveiling ceremony of the Zia Inter University Cricket Tournament at City Club on Thursday (January 8).

Tamim said that the interest of Bangladesh cricket should come first in whatever decision you make. Plus, you should take your decision after considering the future of Bangladesh cricket.

He also said: "You should not take a hasty decision. And the biggest thing is that you comment publicly like this, different directors are commenting in different ways, it creates an uncertainty. I am sure there are competent people there, those in the Bangladesh government now. They should make their own internal decision and bring a final verdict in front of everyone."

Describing the incident of Mustafiz's exclusion from the Kolkata squad as sad, Tamim said: "It is certainly sad to remove Mustafiz from the IPL. There is no doubt about it."
