Decision to marry Raj was not wrong: Pori Moni

An old interview of actress Pori Moni has resurfaced in discussion on social media. In that interview on the popular podcast 'Behind the Fame with RRK', she spoke openly about her past relationships, separation and former husband Shariful Raj.

Speaking about the separation, Pori Moni said she does not see marrying Shariful Raj or any other decision in her life as a "mistake". To her, every event in life is an experience that teaches a person to move forward.

The actress said that even when her other past relationships broke down, no situation arose that hurt her self-respect. Those separations happened while maintaining mutual respect. As a result, even if they met later, they did not have to face each other in awkwardness.

However, Pori Moni said the experience of separation from Shariful Raj was completely different. In her words, she was most insulted by the person who should have been respected the most. In her view, their separation could have happened in a more beautiful and respectful manner.

Shariful Raj and Pori Moni married in 2021. They formally separated in 2023. After the separation, Pori Moni was raising their son, Shahim Mohammad Punno, alone. Later, she adopted a baby girl named Safira Sultana Priyom.
