US President Donald Trump suspended the tariff policy for three months on the day it took effect. The way China imposed retaliatory tariffs on US goods and the US increased tariffs on Chinese goods in response, the world faced a new experience. Due to this, the stock market crashed, the dollar exchange rate fell, and oil prices fell to their lowest level in four years. Overall, the market economy started to tremble.

However, his administration showed no signs of easing the tariff policy until the last moment. Trump claims that he made this decision suddenly after listening to his heart, according to Politico

He made this comment in a post on his own social media, Truth Social, on Wednesday.

In the post, Trump wrote, I have been thinking about the tariff issues for the past few days. I guess everything became clear to me this morning. There was no time to consult a lawyer at that time. I just listened to my heart and did what I thought was right.

The tariffs were not long in coming to have a negative impact on the stock market. However, his sudden decision to suspend them did not take long to change the wind. The market value of the top seven technology companies in the United States increased by $1 trillion on Wednesday.

Besant was the first to appear before the media on behalf of the Trump administration after the suspension. He said that the decision was not changed due to market volatility. This decision was made out of a desire to make separate agreements with the affected countries.

He said that each problem will be solved differently. Therefore, this work will take some time. The 90-day break was given because the president wants to be involved in the entire process.
