Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, ranked sixth on the list of cities worldwide with the worst air quality on Tuesday morning. The air in Dhaka city was classified as 'unhealthy' with an AQI score of 182 at 10:20 am. India's Delhi, Pakistan's Lahore, and Bosnia Herzegovina's Sarajevo occupied the first, second and third places on the list, with AQI scores of 383, 371, and 271, respectively. An AQI between 151 and 200 is considered 'unhealthy', while 201–300 is 'very unhealthy', and 301+ is 'hazardous', posing severe health risks to residents. The AQI, an index for reporting daily air quality, informs people how clean or polluted the air of a certain city is and what associated health effects might be a concern for them.

একিউআই স্কোর ১৮২ নিয়ে বায়ুদূষণের তালিকার ষষ্ঠ অবস্থানে রয়েছে রাজধানী ঢাকা। মঙ্গলবার (২১ নভেম্বর) সকাল ৯টা ৩০ মিনিটে বায়ুর মান পর্যবেক্ষণকারী সংস্থা এয়ার কোয়ালিটি ইনডেক্সের (আইকিউএয়ার) সূচক থেকে এ তথ্য জানা গেছে। আইকিউএয়ারের তথ্যমতে, ৩৮৩ একিউআই স্কোর নিয়ে বায়ুদূষণের তালিকার শীর্ষে উঠে এসেছে ভারতের দিল্লি। এ ছাড়াও ৩৩১ একিউআই স্কোর নিয়ে বসনিয়ার&nbsp;হারজেগোভিনার শহর সারায়েভো তালিকার দ্বিতীয় ও ৩০৬ একিউআই স্কোর নিয়ে পাকিস্তানের লাহোর তালিকার তৃতীয় অবস্থানে রয়েছে। সাধারণত একিউআই স্কোর শূন্য থেকে ৫০ এর মধ্যে থাকলে বায়ুর মান ভালো বলে বিবেচনা করা হয়। আর ৫১ থেকে ১০০ হলে বায়ুর মান মাঝারি বা সহনীয় পর্যায়ে ধরা হয়। তবে একিউআই স্কোর ১০১ থেকে ২০০ পর্যন্ত হলে বায়ুর মান অস্বাস্থ্যকর হিসেবে বিবেচিত&nbsp;হয়। এ ছাড়াও&nbsp; স্কোর যদি ২০১ থেকে ৩০০ হয় সেক্ষেত্রে খুবই অস্বাস্থ্যকর এবং&nbsp;৩০১-এর বেশি হলে তা দুর্যোগপূর্ণ বলে গণ্য হয়।
