Dhaka University metro station to remain closed from today afternoon

Due to the upcoming "July Uprising Commemoration Events," the Dhaka University metro station will be temporarily closed starting from the afternoon of Monday, July 14. While metro services will operate as usual, trains will not stop at this station during the closure period.

The announcement was made in a notice issued on Sunday (July 13) by Rafiqul Islam, Manager (Administration) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

According to the notice, based on the event schedule received from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the decision of the organizing committee of the "July Uprising Commemoration 2025" events, the Dhaka University metro station will remain closed from 5:00 PM on July 14.

However, the station will reopen and resume normal operations from Tuesday (July 15), with trains stopping as per the regular schedule.
