Fifty-two individuals involved in various crimes have been arrested in an operation conducted by the Tejgaon division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The matter was confirmed by the DMP media wing on Sunday, June 7. According to Tejgaon division sources, the arrestees were caught during regular drives in crime-prone areas of the division over the past 24 hours. Among those arrested, seven are from Tejgaon police station area, five from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station, twenty from Mohammadpur police station, five from Adabor police station, eight from Tejgaon Industrial Area police station, and seven from Hatirjheel police station. Police said legal action has been taken against the arrestees and they have been sent to court.

ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) তেজগাঁও বিভাগের অভিযানে বিভিন্ন অপরাধে জড়িত ৫২ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। রোববার (৭ জুন) ডিএমপি মিডিয়া বিভাগ থেকে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে। তেজগাঁও বিভাগ সূত্রে জানা যায়, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বিভাগের বিভিন্ন অপরাধপ্রবণ এলাকায় নিয়মিত অভিযান পরিচালনা করে এসব ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। গ্রেফতারদের মধ্যে তেজগাঁও থানা এলাকা থেকে ৭ জন, শেরেবাংলা নগর থানা থেকে ৫ জন, মোহাম্মদপুর থানা থেকে ২০ জন, আদাবর থানা থেকে ৫ জন, তেজগাঁও শিল্পাঞ্চল থানা থেকে ৮ জন এবং হাতিরঝিল থানা থেকে ৭ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। গ্রেফতারদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ শেষে আদালতে পাঠানো হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ।
