Two officers of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) holding the rank of Deputy Commissioner have been transferred to different units in the capital. The transfer decision was communicated in an office order signed by DMP's Acting Commissioner Md Sarwar on Monday, March 30. According to the order, Md Shahriar Ali from the Uttara Division has been transferred to the Detective Branch's Gulshan Division. Meanwhile, Mirza Tareq Ahmed Beg, the Acting Deputy Commissioner of DMP's Detective Branch Uttara Division, has been given charge as Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Uttara Division. The office order stated that the transfer would take effect immediately. Earlier on March 25, one Deputy Commissioner and four Additional Deputy Commissioners of DMP were also transferred to various units.

ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) উপকমিশনার পদমর্যাদার দুই কর্মকর্তাকে রাজধানীর দুটি ভিন্ন বিভাগে বদলি করা হয়েছে। সোমবার ডিএমপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত কমিশনার মো. সরওয়ার স্বাক্ষরিত এক অফিস আদেশে এই বদলির সিদ্ধান্ত জানানো হয়। আদেশ অনুযায়ী, উত্তরা বিভাগের মো. শাহরিয়ার আলীকে বদলি করে ডিএমপির গোয়েন্দা শাখার (ডিবি) গুলশান বিভাগে পাঠানো হয়েছে। অন্যদিকে ডিএমপির গোয়েন্দা উত্তরা বিভাগের ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপকমিশনার মির্জা তারেক আহমেদ বেগকে উত্তরা বিভাগেরই ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপকমিশনার হিসেবে দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। অফিস আদেশে বলা হয়েছে, এই বদলি আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে। এর আগে ২৫ মার্চও ডিএমপির একজন উপকমিশনার এবং চারজন অতিরিক্ত উপকমিশনারকে বিভিন্ন বিভাগে বদলি করা হয়েছিল।
