Documentary ‘Golpo Achhe Ekhane…’ tells the story of Syed Abdul Hadi’s melodious life

A special documentary titled ‘Golpo Achhe Ekhane…’ (There is a Story Here…) has been made on the life, musical journey, and various unknown chapters of the long career of Syed Abdul Hadi, the legendary artist of Bengali music. The documentary has been directed by the renowned media personality Shykh Seraj.

Through candid conversations, the documentary highlights Syed Abdul Hadi's childhood, the beginning of his musical career, the evolution of Bangladesh's music industry, contemporary art practices, and his expectations for the next generation of artists. At the same time, it features the stories behind his timeless songs, the relationship between music and society, and the experiences of an artist's long journey.

Speaking about the documentary, Shykh Seraj said, "Syed Abdul Hadi is not just a popular artist; he is also an important chapter in the cultural history of Bangladesh. His songs are deeply intertwined with our personal memories, social changes, and national emotions. In this documentary, along with his success story, we have tried to capture an artist's thoughts, philosophy, values, and era."

He further added, "For the new generation, this will serve as a valuable document to learn from the experience and life philosophy of a living legend."

Previously, Shykh Seraj made documentaries on two other legends of the country's cultural arena. These include 'Rajadhiraj Razzak', based on the life of actor Razzak, and 'Juiful Sabina', made on singer Sabina Yasmin.

The special documentary will be broadcast on July 1 to mark the 86th birthday of Syed Abdul Hadi. ‘Golpo Achhe Ekhane…’ will be aired on 'Channel i' at 5:15pm on that day.
