'Story of Dodo’ movie song to release on Eid-ul-Azha
The song 'Jochhonaya Bhasa Sharhar' from the government-subsidized film 'Story of Dodo' is going to be released on the moon day of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azhar. The lyrics of the song are written by Samuel Haque, the tune and music are composed by Prince Mahmud, and the vocals are provided by band musician Tanjir Tuhin. The music is arranged by Shaker Raja.
The film, produced by the production company G-Series, is directed by fiction writer and filmmaker Reza Ghatok. The draft copy of this film, which received a government grant of 6 million taka in the 2021-22 fiscal year, has already been submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
There is deep preparation behind the creation of the song. Director Reza Ghatok said that before creating the song, Prince Mahmud sat with him privately at least seven-eight times to fully understand the scenes, emotions and character perspectives of the movie. Based on that understanding, the melody was first created, and then Samuel Haque wrote the lyrics following that melody. In the words of Reza Ghatok, 'The entire song is an emotional journey. Everyone involved in the song has tried to carry the emotion of the movie.'
Regarding the song, composer Prince Mahmud said, 'The song has come out every Eid for 31 years. This time too, it is coming out just before Eid with my favorite band artist Tanjir Tuhin.' He also said that it is not a commercial song, but a song of emotion and mental connection. ''Jochnay Bhasa Sharhar'' is a song to listen to with headphones,'' he said.
Vocalist Tanjir Tuhin said, 'I tried to sing the song with great compassion, realizing the emotion with which Prince Bhai has composed it. If netizens like the song, my singing will be fruitful.' Music organizer Shaker Raja is also optimistic. He said, 'The joy of singing with Prince Bhai and Tuhin Bhai is different. I firmly believe that the song will win the hearts of the audience.'
The film Dodo's Story stars Pori Moni, Symon Sadiq, Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Wahida Mallick, Shahidul Alam Sacchu, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Rifat Chowdhury, Kazi Anisul Haque Barun, Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman, Ananda Khaled, Iqbal Hossain, Sajib Mamun, Azam Khan, Khairul Alam Tipu, Al-Amin Durrani, Shyamal Hasan, Mahira Hasan, Sohel Towfiq, and others.
