Egypt coach lose consciousness while intervene wives clash in hotel
Egypt national football team coach Hossam Hassan’s two wives reportedly got into a physical altercation during a holiday in northern Egypt, with Hassan said to have collapsed while trying to stop the fight.
The incident took place at a hotel in Porto Marina, a popular resort area on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.
Hassan's first wife, Howaida El-Garbawy, and his second wife, Dina "Dan Adam" Mostafa, reportedly began arguing before the dispute escalated into a fight, with the two women pulling each other’s hair.
Hotel staff and family members intervened to break up the confrontation. Both women were reportedly injured in the incident.
Al Arabiya reported that Hassan became distressed during the confrontation and lost consciousness while attempting to intervene. However, his lawyer later told Sky News Arabia that the report was false, saying the coach was in good health and had not fainted.
The incident was followed by Hassan's divorce from El-Garbawy. He reportedly signed the divorce documents at a registry office in Cairo. The couple have three children from their long marriage.
Hassan married Mostafa in 2015 while still married to El-Garbawy. Their relationship reportedly faced difficulties in 2022 but later improved. The latest incident appears to have brought his marriage to El-Garbawy to an end.
