Eid return train tickets for June 3 to go on sale today

Bangladesh Railway is set to sell advance return tickets for interdistricts trains scheduled for June 3 today (May 24), as part of special arrangements to facilitate Eid-ul-Azha holiday travel.

According to railway authorities, ticket sales for trains operating in the western region will begin at 8:00am, while tickets for eastern region trains will be available from 2:00pm As in previous Eid seasons, all tickets will be sold exclusively online to ensure smoother and more transparent distribution.

Under the railway’s Eid travel management plan, tickets for May 31 journeys were sold on May 21, June 1 tickets on May 22, and June 2 tickets on May 23. The final phase of advance ticket sales for June 4 journeys is scheduled for May 25.

Bangladesh Railway also confirmed that tickets purchased during this Eid special arrangement will not be refundable. Each passenger will be allowed to purchase a maximum of four seats in a single transaction. However, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided while purchasing multiple tickets.

With millions expected to travel during the Eid holidays, railway authorities hope the advance online ticketing system will help reduce crowding and ensure a more organized travel experience for passengers across the country.
