Election symbols allocated for six Sylhet constituencies

The election symbols for candidates contesting the six constituencies of Sylhet district in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections have been officially allocated.

The ceremony was held at 10:00am in the conference room of the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday (January 21), conducted by the District Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Sarwar Alam.

Sylhet-1:
BNP’s Khandakar Abdul Muktadir received ‘Dhaner Shish’; Jamaat-e-Islami’s Maulana Habibur Rahman got ‘Dharipalla’; Communist Party’s Mohammad Anwar Hossain was allotted ‘Kaste’; BSD’s Pranab Jyoti Pal received ‘Moi’; Insaniyat Biplob Bangladesh’s Shamim Mia got ‘Apple’; Gono Odhikar Parishad’s Akmal Hossain received ‘Truck’; Islami Andolan Bangladesh’s Mahmudul Hasan got ‘Hatpakha’; BSD (Marxist) Sanjay Kanti Das received ‘Kachi’.

The symbol allocation completes the formal preparations for candidates in all six Sylhet constituencies ahead of the national polls.
