Elon Musk, Chief Executive of Tesla, has retained his position as the world’s richest person, according to Forbes magazine’s list of the top ten wealthiest individuals for November.

Forbes reported that Musk’s net worth is likely to increase further. A vote is scheduled for 6 November to decide whether he will be awarded additional Tesla shares worth 1 trillion US dollars. Tesla Chair Robyn Denholm stated that Musk might leave the company if the proposal fails.

Musk currently holds about 12 per cent of Tesla’s shares and is also associated with SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), and the artificial intelligence company xAI.

According to Forbes, as of 1 November, Musk’s total net worth stands at 4,970 billion US dollars — an increase of 60 billion dollars from the previous month. Recently, he became the first person ever to surpass 5,000 billion dollars in assets. Analysts believe he could eventually become the world’s first trillionaire.

In second place is Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, with a net worth of 3,200 billion dollars, followed by Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos at 2,540 billion dollars.

Google co-founder Larry Page ranks fourth with 2,320 billion dollars, and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is fifth with 2,230 billion dollars.

Sixth place is held by Google’s other co-founder Sergey Brin (2,150 billion dollars), followed by LVMH co-founder Bernard Arnault (1,830 billion dollars), Nvidia co-founder Jensen Huang (1,760 billion dollars), former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer (1,560 billion dollars), and Dell Technologies co-founder Michael Dell (1,550 billion dollars).
