Emraan Hashmi diagnosed with swine flu

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has been diagnosed with H1N1, commonly known as swine flu. After feeling unwell for several days, his test results confirmed the infection on Friday. He is currently resting in Mumbai on doctors' advice.

It is known that Hashmi had recently travelled to various places, including Ranchi, for shooting commitments. After returning to Mumbai, he felt unwell for a few days. Following a medical test advised by his doctor, the H1N1 infection was confirmed . Doctors have advised him to take adequate rest and follow necessary precautions.

Due to his illness, the 'Awarapan 2' actor could not attend a scheduled event in Bengaluru. In a message on social media, he apologised to his fans and informed them that the event had been postponed. According to the new schedule, the event will now take place in Bengaluru on September 12 . Tickets purchased for the previous date will remain valid for the new one.

News of Hashmi's illness comes at a time when he is enjoying one of the most talked-about periods of his career. 'Awarapan 2', released on August 14, has been receiving a positive response from audiences. Recent reports indicate that the film has earned over ₹200 crore worldwide since its release .

In 'Awarapan 2', a sequel to the 2007 film 'Awarapan', Hashmi stars opposite Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi and Shabana Azmi. The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar . Amid the film's success, Hashmi had recently surprised audiences at a Mumbai event with Disha Patani.

Meanwhile, Hashmi's illness has reignited discussions about influenza infections in India. However, there are discrepancies between the figures being reported from various states and the latest official government statistics, making it prudent not to cite these numbers as confirmed official data.
