We don’t want to hear "Our target is next World Cup" anymore

In the recently concluded T20 World Cup, cricket fans were deprived of captivating batting performances. The pitches in the two host countries (the United States and the West Indies) behaved differently. Never before in T20 World Cup history have both semifinals been so lackluster. However, Asia and Africa sent an important message in the ninth T20 World Cup: to play well and win in the World Cup, a team needs to perform well under pressure with a hunger for victory. Players must have confidence, courage, belief in their abilities, and trust in their skills. India's unbeaten championship win after so many years can be attributed to their consistently positive cricket as a team from start to finish.

May Bangladesh cricket be freed from so-called personal manipulations

The Bangladesh team left the country to participate in the group stage of the T20 World Cup amidst fear, anxiety, uncertainty, instability, fragile confidence, negative mindset, lack of form among top-order batsmen, inadequate preparation, and a storm of discussions and criticisms. The players have not been able to think as a team, but if they can collectively reflect their capabilities at the right time, good performance is certainly possible.

Football: Players are not born; they need to be created

A couple of years ago, AKM Maruful Haque, the only UEFA-A licensed football coach in Bangladesh, pointed out that there are hardly any opportunities for grassroots and youth football education in the country. As a result, when we get boys at the club and other levels, they have very little understanding of technical and tactical skills. This is not their fault; there is minimal emphasis on grassroots football in our structure. This is undoubtedly a significant issue. There aren't enough junior footballers coming up with proper football knowledge from the grassroots. While preparing a research paper on grassroots football, it became evident that Coach Maruf's statement is entirely accurate.

A pleasant victory in cricket

What a wonderful comeback! And it has happened as desired and in due time. It was much needed for the revival of the image in international cricket. The sky of cricket has cleared of clouds. The rays of light are visible. We were all looking towards that light. Our hopes from before are still there. We want rich cricket. We want healthy competition on the field.

Topping the first round is a big challenge

The shortest format of cricket, T20, contains elements that attract both men and women of all ages. It captivates like magic. Cricket enthusiasts, whose numbers are steadily increasing, now consider it their "first choice." This 240-ball game (120 balls per team), synchronized with the ticking of the clock, offers a mix of excitement, thrill, entertainment, joy, sorrow, hope, and despair, already earning it the title of the "best festival."

Female cricketers also need to engage in the correct actions

Recently, print media headlines have been highlighting themes of defeat and struggle within women's cricket, with phrases like 'Defeat is the last word,' 'Women's team can't break free from the cycle of defeat,' Where is the end of pathetic surrender on the field', and 'Another whitewash.' While these headlines are disheartening to read, they reflect the current reality. Instead of dwelling on these negatives, we must accept the situation and focus on necessary actions to improve women's cricket.
