Amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions, Baloch writer Mir Yar Baloch declared Balochistan's independence from Pakistan and sought UN recognition. He also asked India to allow a Baloch embassy in Delhi and called for UN peacekeepers in the region, reports media. Mir Yar Baloch, known for advocating for the Baloch people, made announcement in a series of posts on social media platform X. He urged the United Nations to send peacekeeping forces to the land and demanded that the Pakistani army leave the area.
