Bangladeshi students set to participate in regional phase of ‘Seeds for the Future’ in China
The ten winners from Bangladesh of Huawei's "Seeds for Future 2024" program traveled to China to join the regional round of the competition.
In a week-long program they are scheduled to participate in digital talent summit and receive training on 5G, AI, IoT and Smart City in Nanning, Shenzhen and Dongguan, said a Huawei press release on Tuesday.
This year’s Seeds for future winners are Mohammad Fasiul Abedin Khan, EEE department of BRAC University, Arpa Saha, CSE department of KUET, Sheikh Munkasir Ahmed Rafeed, EEE department of BUET, Mashfiha Mahee, EEE department of AUST, Maria Nawar, CSE department of AIUB, Samiha Masud, Business Technology Management (BTM) of IUT, Tasfia Jannat Tasfi, CSE department of RUET, Avik Md Emtiaz Arefin, Mechatronics Engineering department of RUET, Kazi Zarin Rahman, Finance and Banking department of BUP, and Raiyan Ibne Hossain from EEE department of IUT.
Tanvir Ahmed, head of media at Huawei South Asia, said that Huawei hopes the ten students participating in the regional event will gain the skills and knowledge to help Bangladesh grow.
This year, over 1,850 students from Bangladesh applied for the program. From those applications, 50 students were chosen for the first round after evaluations and interviews.
