The BCB Constitution Amendment Committee has been suspended. The decision was taken in this regard at the BCB meeting today. The committee was formed with BCB director Nazmul Abedin Fahim as its head. But their constitution amendment proposal was leaked. They decided to reduce the number of directors from Dhaka club cricket. However, Dhaka club officials protested their decision. They boycotted the league and called a strike. This time, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the suspension of the committee led by Fahim. After the BCB meeting, two directors Iftekhar Rahman Mithu and Mahbub Anam told the media that the decision to suspend the constitution committee has been made.

বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের (বিসিবি) গঠনতন্ত্র সংশোধনী কমিটি স্থগিত করা হয়েছে।&nbsp; বিসিবির পরিচালক নাজমুল আবেদীন ফাহিমকে প্রধান করে এ কমিটি গঠিত হয়েছিল; কিন্তু তাদের গঠনতন্ত্র সংশোধনী প্রস্তাব ফাঁস হয়ে যায়। সূত্র জানায়, ঢাকার ক্লাব ক্রিকেট থেকে পরিচালক সংখ্যা কমিয়ে আনার প্রস্তাব দিতে যাচ্ছিলেন কমিটির সদস্যরা। তাদের এমন সিদ্ধান্তের প্রতিবাদ জানান ঢাকার ক্লাব কর্মকর্তারা। লিগ বর্জন ও ধর্মঘট ডাকেন তারা। এর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে শনিবার (২৫ জানুয়ারি) সভা ডেকে কমিটির কার্যক্রমই স্থগিতের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে দেশের ক্রিকেট নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থাটি। বিসিবির সভা শেষে দুই পরিচালক ইফতেখার রহমান মিঠু ও মাহবুব আনাম জানান, স্থগিত হওয়া গঠনতন্ত্র সংশোধন প্রক্রিয়া ও কমিটির বিষয়ে পরে নতুন সিদ্ধান্ত হবে।
