BDapps launches 'Project Nisa' to empower Madrasa girls with technology
Robi Axiata Limited's BDapps platform has launched 'Project Nisa' to ensure access to the world of technology for women students of madrasas.
BDApps has taken this initiative to empower Madrasa girls by enhancing their technical skills and making them independent technology innovators.
Recently, a workshop was held under this project at 'Sheikh Fazilatunnecha Mahila Madrasa' located in Mongla, Bagerhat.
More than 50 students from class IX to XII received training in app development, digital literacy and basic computer skills. This training opened a new door for female students and prepares them to become skilled technology innovators.
After the training many students have already created their first lite app on BDApps platform and started earning. The 25 participating students were able to earn an average of Tk 5,000 in the first month and their combined income was more than Tk 1 lakh.
Madrasa student Rabeya Khatun said, “As a madrasa student, I never imagined that I would get such an opportunity! Now I'm building apps and contributing financially to the family—it's truly a great achievement in life!”
