Endrick's double seals Real's 5-2 victory in thrilling 7-goal match

After a 5-2 loss to their arch-rivals Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, Real Madrid made a powerful comeback. On Thursday night, they defeated Celta Vigo 5-2 in the Copa del Rey round of 16, securing a spot in the quarter-finals. Brazilian young striker Endrick played a key role, scoring two goals in the exciting 7-goal match.

Real Madrid came out strong from the beginning. In the 37th minute, Kylian Mbappé scored to give them the lead. Early in the second half, Vinícius Júnior extended the advantage with another goal, making it 2-0. However, the match grew tense toward the end. In the 83rd minute, Jonathan Bamba of Celta Vigo pulled one back. In stoppage time, Marcos Alonso converted a penalty to level the score at 2-2, sending the game into extra time.

In extra time, Real Madrid took control. In the 108th minute, Endrick scored a stunning goal to give them a 3-2 lead. Moments later, Fede Valverde fired a shot from outside the box to make it 4-2. In the dying seconds of extra time, Endrick completed his brace with a backheel finish, sealing the 5-2 victory.

With this match, Endrick became the fifth player in Real Madrid's history to score two goals in extra time. The previous players to achieve this feat were Santiago Bernabéu, Sotero Aranguren, Santillana, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

After the match, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Endrick, stating, "Endrick has demonstrated his quality. He's the kind of striker who can showcase his outstanding technique when he's in and around the box."
