The world is immersed in a deep darkness. Despite the tremendous development of human knowledge, science, and philosophy, the war, violence, and bloodshed continue in the present world. Every war puts human civilization to the question - has any sense of reason really awakened in humans? Why do people not come to their senses even after seeing so much bloodshed? After witnessing the terrible disaster of World War II, people lost faith in the word human.

Philosopher Michel Foucault wrote that the word human is written on the sand, and any wave of the sea will erase it; but world poet Rabindranath Tagore wrote that losing faith in humans is a sin. So in the end, humans came to stand by humans. Millions of people around the world stood by the people of Gaza. The ongoing genocide in Gaza has awakened the world's conscience. Millions of people have taken to the streets in different countries of the world to demand an end to the massacre by Israeli forces in Gaza, Palestine. They have condemned the barbaric attack on Gaza and the US support for Israel. They have also demanded an immediate end to the war.

Yesterday (April 7), the world called for a 'Global Strike for Gaza'. According to world media, two US-based organizations, New York Healthcare Workers for Palestine and Doctors Against Genocide, have called for a global strike to protest the ongoing destruction and loss of life in Gaza. On Monday, local workers gathered in front of the UN headquarters in New York and demonstrated. Regarding the 'Global Strike for Gaza' program, Healthcare Workers for Palestine wrote on their Instagram account, "We are calling for a global strike to stop the massacre in Gaza. To achieve this goal, all educational institutions and workplaces will be closed. Now is the time to take action."

At the same time, the National and Islamic Forces in Palestine has called for a global strike. The organization called for a global strike on Monday under the name of 'No Work, No School Until Genocide Stops'. Many countries around the world have responded to this call. Bangladesh has also widely supported this movement. Most of the country's educational institutions have boycotted classes in response to this movement.

The massacre in Gaza is ongoing. More than 50 Palestinians have been killed in the last 24 hours. As a result, the death toll in Gaza due to the barbaric attack by the Israeli forces since October 2023 has increased to about 50,700. The sight of human bodies flying into the sky due to powerful bombs has shocked the world. Such barbarity has not been seen by people in recent times.

Still, a ray of light can sometimes be seen in the darkness. As the world's conscience awakens, the direction of light is being seen. Let the world remain at a standstill until the massacre in Gaza is stopped. If this war cannot be stopped, then human civilization will fail. Sadly, many Muslim countries have not stood up for the people of Gaza. Despite seeing everything, they remain silent. They will definitely have to stand in the dock of history one day.
