India whitewash Bangladesh
India completed a 2-0 whitewash by defeating Bangladesh in the two-match Test series, clinching the second Test by 7 wickets at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
On the last day of the second Test on Tuesday, Bangladesh's second innings stopped at 146 runs. Sadman Islam scored the only 50. Mushfiq scored the second 37 runs. Ashwin, Jadeja and Bumrah took three wickets each. The target for India's victory was just 95 runs.
Chasing a small target, India won by seven wickets after losing three wickets playiung aggressive batting. Mehdi Hasan Miraj took two wickets for Bangladesh. Taijul Islam took one wicket. Jaiswal scored the highest 51 runs for India.
Earlier, Nazmul Shantao's team lost to India by a record margin in the Chennai Test. Batting for a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh players were all out for 234 runs. India won by 280 runs.
