At least 35 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to a report by Qatar-based Al Jazeera TV.

According to the broadcaster, an Israeli strike on a tent camp in the al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza killed 15 people, most of them women and children. In a separate attack on Gaza City, Palestinian photographer Fatima Hassouna and ten members of her family were also killed.

On March 18, the Israeli military resumed operations in Gaza, launching intensive airstrikes and effectively ending the ceasefire that had been in place since January. According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, the decision came after Hamas rejected proposals presented by international mediators and US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff. Israeli authorities stated that the operation’s objective is to secure the release of all hostages still held in Gaza. Hamas, meanwhile, accused both Israel and the United States of being responsible for the renewed hostilities.
