Ivory Coast set a new record for the lowest total in a men's T20I, scoring just 7 runs in a match where they lost to Nigeria by 264 runs. The game took place on Sunday in Lagos, as part of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier Group C.

Nigeria batted first after winning the toss and scored 271/4. Player of the Match, Selim Salau, made 112 runs off 53 balls (retired out), while Sulaimon Runsewe scored 50 runs off 29 balls and Isaac Okpe made an unbeaten 65 runs off 23 balls.

After that, it was a disaster for Ivory Coast. Isaac Danladi, a left-arm spinner, and Prosper Useni, a left-arm fast bowler, each took three wickets. Peter Aho, a right-arm fast bowler, got two wickets, and Sylvester Okpe took one. One batter was run out. Ivory Coast was all out for just 7 runs in 7.3 overs. Ouattara Mohamed, the opener, was the top scorer with 4 runs from six balls. The other batters scored: 4, 0, 1, 0, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0*, and 0.

This was the first time a team scored a single-digit total in a men's T20I. It broke the previous record for the lowest total in the format, which was 10 all out. This score had been reached twice before: by Mongolia against Singapore in September this year and by Isle of Man against Spain last year.
