Donald Trump is leading in the Electoral Vote, far ahead of his rival, Kamala Harris. As per the latest updates, Trump has received 277 Electoral Votes, while Kamala Harris has received 224. Although the official announcement is still pending, the world already knows that Donald Trump is set to become the 47th President of the United States.

Donald Trump has also delivered a speech of victory to the people of the country. He said, “God has kept me alive to save America.” Extending his greetings to the citizens, Trump remarked, "This victory is historic. America witnessed the greatest political battle of all time. Thank you to the American people. I will fight for your future. I will once again make America a golden country."

As the president of the world's most influential country, Donald Trump must not only promise to turn America into a golden land, but he must also talk about turning the entire world into a golden world. This is because global economics and politics are heavily dependent on the policies set by the United States.

When Trump was first elected President of the United States (2017-2021), many criticized him for his weird words and behavior. However, the world was taken aback as conflicts and wars significantly decreased in many countries during his tenure. There is now hope that after being re-elected for a second term, Trump will focus even more on establishing global peace. There is at least an expectation that the war between Ukraine and Russia will come to an end. This, in turn, could lead to solutions for many problems in Eastern Europe and Asia.

But will Trump be able to solve the ongoing, endless Israel-Palestine conflict? It seems unlikely. He is strongly pro-Israel. However, if he can manage to resolve this issue, he would undoubtedly be remembered forever. This remains the greatest crisis in the world today. If this conflict can be resolved, about eighty percent of the Middle East's problems will automatically be solved.

For the people of Bangladesh, there are also concerns to consider. Donald Trump has already expressed his anxiety about the political situation in Bangladesh. He has a good relationship with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and there is ongoing tension between India and Bangladesh's current government, especially in the context of post-popular uprising political realities. Given this, Bangladesh now needs to determine its diplomatic relationship with the new US president. It is crucial for Bangladesh to send a clear message now that it is America's friend. There is no room for extremism in this country. Bangladesh is also committed to democracy and is dedicated to holding a free and fair election soon.

It is true that regardless of who becomes president, there is little change in the global policies of the United States. However, Donald Trump is an exceptional person. He has always preferred business over war. He believes that there are a hundred ways to conduct business without engaging in conflict. For business to thrive, good relations between countries are essential. While Trump may seek to establish strong ties, it is unlikely that he will treat every country the same, and he will likely continue to choose allies and adversaries strategically. He might bring Russia and India closer to the US, perhaps as a counterbalance against China and North Korea.

For Bangladesh, the geopolitical and diplomatic situation is a bit complex. Nevertheless, Bangladesh must remain hopeful and move forward by establishing friendly diplomatic relations. Bangladesh must also join the global community in urging the US president to focus on the establishment of world peace. We hope that Donald Trump will spread the message of peace across the world.
