Mahmudullah Riyad retires from T20 internationals

Bangladesh's veteran all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals ahead of the second match against India at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

He revealed his decision during a press conference, stating he had consulted with his family and the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Mahmudullah's final T20 International will be the third match in Hyderabad.

Since making his debut against Kenya in 2007, he has played 139 matches, scoring 2,394 runs and taking 40 wickets.

Bangladesh currently trails 0-1 in the three-match series, with the second T20 scheduled for October 9.
