Mike" selected for Moscow children's film festival
The film "Mike" has been nominated at the Moscow International Children's Film Festival. The feature film, which draws inspiration from the historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was released on August 11, 2023.
Subsequently, on August 13 of the same year, the film was released at various cinema halls across the country. Now, it is being showcased at Kolkata's Nandan-3 auditorium, transcending national borders, receiving international acclaim.
Apart from earning accolades from audiences, "Mike" has also begun accumulating awards. In 2023, it secured the crown for the Best Feature Film in South Asia. Following its official selection at the Teqqa International Film Festival, the film received recognition as the Best Asian Feature Film.
F.M. Shahin, the director and producer of "Mike," expressed that the film was crafted to disseminate Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's March 7 speech to resonate across borders, bridging generations and nations. The success of "Mike" validates the efforts of the entire team.
Noteworthy is that F.M. Shahin, a young author, columnist, and founder, co-directed the film alongside Hasan Zafarul Bepul. Supported by government funding, the film features the collaborative performances of Ferdous Ahmed and Tanvin Sweety.
Additionally, the cast includes Tareq Anam Khan, Nader Chowdhury, Jhuna Chowdhury, Joyita Mahalanobish, Sangeeta Chowdhury, Rahim Sumon, Iqbal Hossain, and renowned child artist Sanjid Rahman Khan.
