Mithun Chakraborty hospitalised after complaining of chest pain

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday morning after he complained of chest pain. The actor was reportedly feeling uneasy, and he is currently undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital. His elder son Mimoh told indianexpress.com, “He is 100% fine and it’s a routine check up.”

Mithun felt ill during the shooting of the movie 'Shastri' produced by actor Soham Chakraborty. As soon as he fell ill, Soham took him to the hospital. Initially the actor underwent an MRI. The actor is now undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the shooting of the movie 'Shastri' started at the end of last month. Mithun Chakraborty and Debashree Roy are returning to the big screen after 16 years through this movie. Mithun-Debashree is the main attraction of the movie. Besides, a bunch of stars will be seen in this movie.

Recently, Mithun Chakraborty was honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. The actor expressed gratitude and said in a video shared by his son Namashi, “Bohot khushi, bohot anand, sab kuch mila ke ek aisi feeling hai jo main bayaan nahi kar sakta. Bohot takleefo ke baad jab itna bada sammaan milta hai toh uski feeling hi kuch aur hoti hai (I am so grateful for this honour. I cannot express my gratitude in words. To receive such an honour after so much hard work feels special).”
