Nusraat Faria under intensive medical care

Popular film actress Nusraat Faria is currently undergoing intensive medical treatment due to a serious illness. She remains under the close supervision of specialist doctors, with all external communication, including phone use, strictly prohibited as part of her treatment plan.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Nusraat Faria addressed her fans and well-wishers, expressing gratitude for their concern while confirming her condition. She wrote, “I am deeply touched by your love and concern. However, I must inform you with great sadness that I am suffering from a severe illness and am under intensive medical supervision.”

Following her doctors’ advice, Faria has temporarily ceased all contact with the outside world, expressing regret over her inability to communicate with anyone during this time.

Reflecting on the challenging period, she added, “The past few days have been some of the most difficult and sensitive in my life. Mentally and physically, I have been quite shattered. Yet, your support and kindness have given me the strength to persevere. I hope to recover soon and return to you all in good health.”

She also extended her thanks to journalists and media professionals for their humanity and positive support during this difficult phase.

Nusraat Faria’s post was met with an outpouring of supportive messages from fans and colleagues.

The actress was arrested on May 18 at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. She, along with 282 others, was named in a case related to an attempted murder during an anti-discrimination protest in the Bhatara area of Dhaka in July 2024. She was granted bail last Tuesday. Since her release, there have been growing concerns about her physical and mental well-being. Following her release, she publicly expressed gratitude but has remained largely out of the public eye until her recent disclosure.
