Pakistan army launches 'Bunyan-un-Marsoos' against 'Sindoor'
Pakistan has launched ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ in response to India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’. As part of the operation, Pakistan’s defense forces attacked 11 Indian military installations on Friday (May 9) night.
International media outlets, citing a senior Pakistani army official, reported that Pakistan has already attacked some notable locations, including Pathankot air base, Udhampur air base, Gujarat air base, Rajasthan air base and a storage facility for India’s supersonic cruise missile Brahmos, as part of this operation. The Pakistan army used the Fatah-1 missile, which is made with the country’s own technology, in the attack. Its range is 120 kilometers.
The Pakistani military official also said that the attack on Friday night destroyed the headquarters of an Indian army brigade in Uri town of Baramulla district of India, an artillery battery of the Indian army in Nagrota town.
According to Geo News, the Pakistan Air Force's JF-17 fighter jet also destroyed the S-400 air defense system deployed at the Adampur air base in India's Punjab. Pakistan called this the biggest success in Friday's attack.
On April 22, a group of terrorists attacked the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, India, and shot dead 26 tourists. All of the tourists killed were men and most of them were Hindus. Although Pakistan has repeatedly denied responsibility, India has been blaming Pakistan for the attack. After that, India took several diplomatic steps against Pakistan, including canceling the Indus Water Sharing Treaty and canceling visas for Pakistani citizens. In response, Pakistan also took several countermeasures, including closing its airspace and cancelling visas for India.
India claimed that 70 Pakistani terrorists were killed in an Indian army operation as part of 'Operation Sindoor' in various areas including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Tuesday. However, Pakistan claimed that 31 people were killed and 57 injured.
