Pakistan claims it intercepted 25 Indian drones; India says attacks were thwarted
Pakistan’s military has claimed to have intercepted 25 Israeli-made Herop drones allegedly launched by India. In a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, officials said the drones were shot down using advanced technical systems and weaponry.
“So far, 25 Israeli-manufactured Herop drones have been shot down by Pakistani forces,” the statement read, noting that debris from the drones is being recovered from various areas within Pakistan.
The ISPR added that Pakistan’s armed forces are responding decisively, stating, “Our forces are giving a befitting reply to the enemy and neutralizing all hostile intentions.”
Meanwhile, a BBC report cited Indian sources who claimed that Indian defenses successfully thwarted Pakistani attempts to target military sites using drones and missiles. The attempted attacks reportedly occurred in northern and western regions during the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
