Plymouth Argyle stunned everyone in the FA Cup by beating Liverpool 1-0. Ryan Hardy scored the winning goal from a penalty, sending Plymouth through and knocking Liverpool out of the competition.
Plymouth, currently ranked 24th in the Championship, pulled off a stunning victory over Liverpool at their home ground, Home Park, in the fourth-round FA Cup match on Sunday night. The winning penalty came in the 53rd minute. Liverpool fielded a second-string side and, despite several attempts, couldn’t find a way back into the game after conceding. Plymouth’s goalkeeper, Conor Hazard, stood strong, making save after save, including two crucial stops in the dying moments to deny Liverpool.
After the match, Plymouth’s coach, Miron Muslic, was left speechless. Having once been a refugee, Muslic said, "This is a huge day for us. I am lost for words. We are proud of this moment." Muslic, originally from Bosnia, was forced to leave his home in 1992. Now, as a coach in English football, he has led Plymouth to one of their most remarkable achievements.
