Rain threatens pre-World Cup series between Bangladesh and USA
The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and USA, scheduled to start on May 21, has been cast into uncertainty after a severe storm struck the city of Houston.
Bangladesh cricket team arrived in rain-hit Houston for a three-match series against the USA to prepare for the T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies next month.
The series scheduled on May 21, 23 and 25 is in threat as the majority of the temporary infrastructure recently installed at the match venue, Prairie View Cricket Complex, has been destroyed in a severe storm with rain.
Seven people were found dead and nine lacs homes are still out of electricity connection following the effect of hurricane and natural disaster in Houston, reports CNN.
However, Bangladesh will play two more official practice matches against Netherlands and India on May 28 and June 1 ahead of the World Cup.
