Rased Mehedi in Journalism

Rased Mehedi has been active in professional journalism for 27 years. During this time, he has performed important roles in several leading newspapers and electronic media of Bangladesh with reputation. He has many investigative reports on telecommunications and information technology, diplomacy, parliament, elections, local government system,  education, energy and power, mass transport and city service sectors. He has been awarded several awards and honors in recognition of his dignified professional work.

In 1996, he became  regular in journalism since he was a student of Jahangirnagar University. At that time he was working as a university correspondent of Daily Sangbad. While a student of the university, he was elected as the general secretary of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists Association. At the same time, he was also active in the Film society  movement with `Zahir Raihan Film society'. He also served as the President of Jahangirnagar Cultural alliance.

Rased Mehedi joined with `The Daily Sangbad' as a staff reporter in December 2000. In July 2003, he joined with `The  Daily Bhorer kagoj'. he Joined Dainik Jankanth in August 2004. In August 2007, he joined Ekushey Television. Here he was promoted as chief reporter.

He Joined `The Daily Samakal' in October 2010. After that he worked here for almost 12 consecutive years till June 2022. He was elected five times as the President of Telecom and Technology Reporters Network Bangladesh-TRNB, an organization of journalists in the telecommunication and information technology sector.

"Views Bangladesh" started its journey under the editorship of Rased Mehedi with a new outlook to establish a modern and positive perspective in journalism. Views Bangladesh is publishing Bengali and English language content simultaneously with a focus on analytical views in Bangladesh. This trend is new in the news media of Bangladesh.
