SAFF winner woman footballer Razia passes away

Razia Khatun, a member of the Bangladesh women's football team, has tragically passed away following the birth of her son.

According to family sources, Razia Khatun gave birth to a male baby around 10:30pm on Wednesday at her house at Moutala Union under Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira district. Later, she suffered some problems. She breathed her last on the way to Kaliganj Hospital around 4.00am on Thursday.

Razia Khatun achieved a significant milestone by winning the U-18 SAFF Championship in 2018. In the final match held in Bhutan, Bangladesh emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Nepal, securing the U-18 Women's SAFF Championship title. Razia played a pivotal role as a member of the team during this triumph.

Besides, Razia participated in the final round of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship held in Thailand in 2017.
