Sports adviser hands over cheque of Tk 1 cr to SAFF winning team
The Bangladesh women's football team has once again proven their prowess on the field by clinching the SAFF Championship title for the second consecutive time. They achieved this remarkable feat by defeating Nepal 2-1 in the final match held on Wednesday.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan honored the team with a generous prize of tk1 crore. The award ceremony took place at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) building in the capital, where the players were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic fans and officials celebrating their victory.
After the team's arrival, Asif Mahmud met with the players in a conference room, extending his heartfelt congratulations. He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC).
During the meeting, sports adviser praised the team’s dedication and success throughout the tournament and presented the substantial monetary award.
