Tigers reach USA for T20 series, World Cup
The Bangladesh national cricket team reached the USA to participate in a bilateral series and the World Cup. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed their arrival by posting a video of the team's landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, on their official Facebook page today (Friday).
The video shows the plane carrying the Bangladesh national cricket team landing at the airport. After landing, the cricketers are seen leaving the airport with their luggage. They then board the team bus and head to their hotel.
The Bangladesh team left Dhaka for the World Cup at 1:40 am on May 16, traveling to the United States via Dubai.
Before their World Cup campaign begins, Bangladesh will play a three-match bilateral T20 series against the United States. The matches are scheduled for May 21, 23, and 25.
Following the T20 series, Bangladesh will play two preparatory matches before the World Cup. The Tigers will face the USA on May 28 and India on June 1 in warm-up matches.
In Group 'D' of the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh will compete against South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Netherlands. The Tigers will kick off their World Cup campaign with a match against Sri Lanka on June 8, followed by games against South Africa on June 10, the Netherlands on June 13, and Nepal on June 17.
