The England cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh next February to play a two-match Test series. Part of the World Test Championship cycle, the first match of the series will be held at Mirpur in Dhaka, while the second will take place in Sylhet.

According to the schedule, the England team is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on February 9. The first Test of the series will begin on February 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and will run until February 18.

Subsequently, the teams will travel to Sylhet on February 19. The second and final Test of the series is scheduled to start there on February 22 and conclude on February 26.

Initially, there were plans to host the final Test at the Bir Shrestha Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram; however, the venue was later changed to Sylhet.

This home series against England will be a crucial World Test Championship contest for Bangladesh. The team has been in good form in the Test format recently; the 'Tigers' have secured Test victories on Pakistani soil and also defeated the hosts during a tour of Australia.

Thus, in this two-match series, Bangladesh faces the challenge of maintaining their momentum against a formidable England side on home turf.
