Farhana Sharmin Tithi extends greetings to pharmacists on World Pharmacists Day

On the occasion of World Pharmacists Day 2026, Farhana Sharmin Tithi, publicity and publications secretary of the Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Microbiologists Foundation, has extended her warm greetings and congratulations to pharmacists and pharmaceutical professionals in Bangladesh and around the world.

In a message issued on Friday (September 25), she said healthcare is not limited to diagnosing and treating diseases. Pharmacists also play an important role in ensuring that patients receive safe, effective and appropriate medicines.

Farhana Sharmin Tithi said pharmacists have a vital responsibility in ensuring the quality and safety of medicines, raising awareness among patients about their proper use, and protecting public health. She said their contribution to healthcare deserves recognition.

She noted that professionals working in pharmaceutical microbiology understand that ensuring a safe medicine reaches a patient involves the combined efforts of countless people through research, testing, quality assurance and rigorous quality control. Pharmacists are an important part of this entire process, she added.

Extending her respect, love and gratitude to all pharmacists on World Pharmacists Day, she said efforts should be made to build a healthcare system in which every person has access not only to safe, effective and quality medicines but also to reliable healthcare services.
