Father shot dead in front of son in Pabna

Unidentified assailants shot and killed Hossain Ali, 53, in front of his madrasa-going son in Pabna town on Monday evening, June 8. The incident took place around 7:30 pm in front of the Jamia Ashrafia Madrasa.

Hossain Ali was a resident of Jafrabad village under Goyeshpur union in Pabna Sadar upazila and worked as a staff member at the madrasa.

According to the victim's family, Hossain Ali had gone to the madrasa to drop off his son. The assailants fired two rounds at him, then reloaded and fired several more shots. Hossain Ali was critically injured and taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Tension and panic have spread in the city following the incident. Police visited the scene, collected evidence and launched an investigation to unravel the mystery behind the killing.

Police said efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved. An investigation is ongoing to determine the motive and the full circumstances of the murder.
