Father’s Day special ‘Babar Diary’ set to release today

A special television drama titled “Babar Diary” has been produced for Father’s Day, exploring themes of family bonds, emotional distance, and a father’s unconditional love.

The drama will be released at 7:00pm on June 20 on the Cineplus Studio YouTube channel, marking the official launch of the new production house Cineplus Studio.

Renowned actor Azizul Hakim plays the central character Anis, a father who documents his life experiences, emotions, and unspoken pain in a diary. In the story, Anis faces neglect and emotional distance from his son and daughter-in-law in his old age, eventually leaving home and taking shelter in an elderly care facility.

The narrative follows his son Arman, who becomes increasingly distant due to personal ambitions and responsibilities. However, a series of unexpected events later lead to a dramatic transformation in his life. After Anis’s death, Arman discovers his father’s diary and uncovers a lifetime of sacrifice and love—realizing his mistakes too late.

Directed by Samrat Chowdhury, the drama aims to highlight the importance of respect, responsibility, and emotional connection within modern family structures. The director said the story reflects changing social realities and is expected to resonate strongly with audiences.

Alongside Azizul Hakim, the cast includes Junayd Baghdadi, Misty Ghosh, and others.
