Father-son among 3 Bangladeshi workers die in 'food poisoning' in Iraq
Three Bangladeshi nationals who were working in Iraq's Erbil died Wednesday in what authorities suspect may be a case of food poisoning, according to relatives, witnesses and forensic sources.
The victims included a father and his son, along with another man. They are--Mohammad Tarek (Brahmanbaria), his son Md. Sabbir and Mehedi Hasan (Feni).
The Bangladesh Embassy in Baghdad confirmed this information on Thursday (March 5).
In a condolence message, it was informed that three Bangladeshis died due to food poisoning in the city of Erbil in the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq, according to preliminary investigations.
The Bangladesh Embassy said that it expressed deep shock over the incident and is in touch with the concerned authorities for necessary assistance.
