Fazlur Rahman Babu hospitalised with serious heart condition

Popular actor and singer Fazlur Rahman Babu has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition. He suffered a sudden heart attack on February 16 and was rushed to hospital. He was later transferred to another facility for advanced treatment. Following tests, blockages were detected in his heart, and the actor underwent open-heart surgery on February 19.

Film and television director Kamruzzaman Sagor confirmed the news of Fazlur Rahman Babu's illness.

In a social media post, Sagor said that following the surgery, Babu is currently under close observation of doctors and his condition is relatively stable.

Kamruzzaman Sagor said, "By the grace of Allah, Babu bhai is doing much better now. However, he needs to rest for some more days before fully recovering and returning to work. I request the nation and his fans to pray for him."

It is to be noted that Fazlur Rahman Babu made his television debut in 1991 with the drama 'Mrityukshudha', based on Kazi Nazrul Islam's novel. His big screen journey began in 2000 with the film 'Bihongo'.

Throughout his long acting career, he has gifted audiences numerous films including 'Monpura', 'Agnatnama', 'Shopnojwal', 'Halda' and 'Fagun Haway'.
