Fire at Gulistan Khaddar Market brought under control

A fire that broke out at the under-construction section of Khaddar Market at Gulistan Zero Point in the capital has been brought under control after nearly one and a half hours of effort.

Fire Service personnel brought the blaze under control at 6:58 pm on Friday, December 26.

The extent of damage could not be determined immediately. No casualties were reported.

Earlier, the fire broke out at around 5:28 pm on Friday. Fire Service units reached the scene within five minutes of receiving the information.

A total of nine Fire Service units worked sequentially to control the fire, which was finally brought under control after nearly one and a half hours.
