Fire breaks out in Mirpur slum, 7 fire units working to control blaze
A fire erupted in the Shyamol Polli slum area of Mirpur-13 in the capital. The Fire Service received the alert at 7:55 pm on Sunday (May 18).
However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unknown.
Talha Bin Jasim, Station Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) media cell, confirmed the matter. He said, "A fire broke out in the Shyamol Polli slum area of Mirpur-13. We received the report at 7:55 pm, and within 15 minutes, at 8:10 pm, a unit from the Mirpur Fire Station arrived at the scene. Currently, seven Fire Service units are working to control the fire."
