Foreign Minister meets Maldives President Muizzu

Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman has paid a courtesy call on Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu.

The meeting took place at the Maldivian President's Office on Saturday (July 25) evening, according to a press release from the President's Office.

The press release said the President warmly received Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and expressed sincere gratitude for his visit to the Maldives as the government's special guest for the 61st Independence Day celebrations.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on multilateral cooperation, opportunities in the education sector and people-to-people connectivity.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and interest, highlighting the long-standing bilateral relations and friendship between the two countries.
