Four Bangladesh cricketers climb ICC rankings after Pakistan series win

Amid the joy of Eid-ul-Azha, four Bangladeshi cricketers have received more good news. Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan have all improved their positions in the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings following the recently concluded Test series against Pakistan, which Bangladesh whitewashed.

Mushfiqur Rahim, the experienced national cricketer, scored 259 runs in four innings across two Tests, climbing 10 places to 16th position. Liton Das, who scored 239 runs in the series, moved up 14 places to 24th.

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam moved up two places to 11th in the Test Bowling Rankings, achieving a new career-best rating. Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraj moved up two places to 25th. Pacer Nahid Rana climbed 10 places to 54th.

Taijul also improved in the ICC Test All-Rounder Rankings, moving up three places to 29th.

Despite losing the series, Pakistan's pacer Khurram Shahzad moved up to 49th in the Test Bowling Rankings.
