Four Bangladeshi cricketers in ILT20 auction, Taskin's base price highest

Four Bangladeshi cricketers have registered for the International League T20 (ILT20) auction for the upcoming season. The four going under the hammer are Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The tournament authorities have already published their base price list.

Among the four Bangladeshis, the highest base price has been set for Taskin Ahmed. The Bangladeshi pacer has been placed in the category with a base price of $80,000, or about Tk 98.6 lakh.

Alongside Taskin in this category are Pakistan's Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman, South Africa's Faf du Plessis, England's Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Chris Woakes, Alex Hales and Phil Salt, New Zealand's David Wylie, the West Indies' Alzarri Joseph, Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naseem Shah, among other star cricketers.

The base price of another Bangladeshi pacer, Shariful Islam, has been set at $40,000, which is about Tk 49.3 lakh in Bangladeshi currency. In this category, he is joined by the West Indies' Jayden Seales, Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran, Pakistan's Shadab Khan and Hasan Nawaz, and Sri Lanka's Avishka Fernando and Kushal Perera, among other cricketers.

Meanwhile, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mehidy Hasan Miraz have been placed in the category with a base price of $10,000, or about Tk 12.3 lakh. In this list, they are joined by Will Smeed, Lorcan Tucker, Asa Tribe, Shayan Jahangir, Reeza Hendricks, Ish Sodhi, George Munsey, Matthew Potts and Bas de Leede.

Among the Bangladeshi cricketers in the auction, Taskin's base price is the highest. It now remains to be seen what their final prices fetch at the auction and which franchise brings them into their squad.
