France, UK, and Canada threaten sanctions against Israel
At least 50 more Palestinians have been killed since midnight Tuesday in attacks by Israeli forces on the besieged Gaza Strip. The leaders of Canada, France, and the United Kingdom have strongly condemned the ongoing violence.
According to a report by Al Jazeera on Tuesday, these three countries have warned Israel that if the attacks on Gaza continue, they will take 'strong actions', which could include imposing sanctions.
Meanwhile, in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, 22 countries around the world have called on Israel to allow aid deliveries to the blockaded region. However, Tel Aviv has shown no regard for these international appeals. Instead, it continues intensifying its violent operations across the strip, with the apparent goal of fully occupying Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already rejected the calls for humanitarian aid and stated that the military assault will be escalated further. His statement makes it clear that Israel is determined to take full control of the Gaza territory.
