Full schedule announced for Asia Cup 2025

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the schedule for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, confirming that the tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28.

ACC Chairman and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement on Saturday (July 26), confirming that Dubai and Abu Dhabi will host the 19-match tournament.

Bangladesh will begin their Asia Cup 2025 campaign against Hong Kong on September 11. They are scheduled to face Sri Lanka on September 13, before concluding their group stage fixtures with a match against Afghanistan on September 16.

Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. All participating teams will be allowed to name 17-member squads for the competition.

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan group-stage clash will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 14. The two arch-rivals, drawn together in Group A, are also expected to meet again in the Super Four stage on September 21, also likely in Dubai.

Each participating team will be allowed to field a 17-member squad, as per the ACC regulations.

Mohsin Naqvi also posted on social media platform X: “I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look forward to a spectacular display of cricket.”

The decision to host the tournament in UAE was finalized at an ACC meeting held on July 24, attended by representatives from all 25 member nations.
